Version 1.1 of Save The Pencil will be released very shortly (or perhaps is out already!) so we thought we’d take a minute to explain the update. First the bad news however, v1.1 doesn’t feature any new levels. The good news is, we are making great progress on v1.2 which we hope will be available in early/mid March, and which will feature brand new levels, dot types and enemies, plus a few other surprises!
So back to v1.1, what are the changes? Well, the most significant change is the addition of a store. As you play the game you will earn Blue Dots. Each Blue Dot you visit will be added to your Blue Dot account, and these Blue Dots can be spent on various items such as level skips, level completions and other items such as wallpapers, unlockables, etc. If you don’t have enough time to collect Blue Dots, you can also purchase Blue Dots in the store.
To skip a level, press the new green skip button during play. This will ask you whether you want to skip or complete the level. A skip simple unlocks the next level. A complete not only unlocks the next level, but also awards you three stars on the current level. Even if you have already unlocked the next level, a complete can still be used to give you three stars!
We’ve given everyone 400 Blue Dots to start with for free! Oh, and if you go to the Store and click the like us on Facebook button, you’ll get 250 additional free dots! (Don’t worry if you have already liked us, you can still click the button and it will detect that you have liked us and give you the free dots too!).
Also in the update, a news ticker has been added to the Main Menu screen. Please keep an eye out for this, as we will regularly be changing the text, letting you know exciting updates and the latest news.
Other than that there are few minor bug fixes and menu changes.
If you have any issues or questions with the update, or bugs to report, please get in touch. You can find Perfect Dimension on Twitter or Save The Pencil on Twitter, or alternatively you can get in touch through the Save The Pencil support form at the bottom of the page.
We recently updated a bunch of our apps and added news tickers. The purpose of this is mainly so we can communicate with our users directly, letting them know about important updates etc. The general feedback has been good, and we will be changing the news regularly, so please keep an eye out for exciting news from Perfect Dimension.
In addition, we also update Convertizo to version 3.0. The main difference is an improved UI for iPhone, but there’s also a few other changes too…
-Improved iPhone UI.
-Tweaked iPad UI.
-Updated info page.
-Added Perches and Roods to Area category.
-Added Chains and Links to length category.
After a request from a user, we have now updated Convertizo to include a Flow category. This new category includes the following units available for conversion:-
We hope you find the update useful, and as always, please get in touch with us if you have any more units you would like added.
We’d spent so much time working on Save The Pencil that we’d somewhat neglected Convertizo over the past few months. Anyways, that changed this week when I took some time out to update the app for Universal (iPhone & iPad) support. The ever quicker Apple approved the update in record time, and now it’s live in the App Store.
It seems that our customers have welcomed the update, with a couple already getting in touch to say they’re delighted that they can now use Convertizo on their iPad for free!
If you’re not already a user, Convertizo is a clean, simple Unit Converter, capable of converting between hundreds of different units across 12 categories. It also features live exchange rate import for currency conversions.
If you feel like checking it out, here’s the App Store link.
Just a quick post to let you know that our latest arcade/puzzle game, Save The Pencil, is now live in the App Store for $0.99 (and global equivalents). You can check it out here. It’s been a busy couple of months, but we’re very happy with the results and hope you are too!
Save The Pencil is an arcade/puzzle game for iPhone & iPod Touch. We’re hoping for a release in the next 10 days, like us on Facebook or follow us on Twitter to be first to know.
A lite version will also be available in December, and, if the game is as popular as we hope it’s going to be, an iPad version will be in the App Store early next year.
We will be publishing details of Save The Pencil once it’s available, so please check back soon.
Convertizo has been updated to include several useful new features:-
Our unit convertor app Convertizo is now live in the App Store. Convertizo is our debut app and was initially created to familiarise ourselves with the app releasing process. It has since grown into an attractive, stable, and highly usable application which we believe is well worth a download in its own right. There are several unit convertors available and whilst some are simple to use and others look pretty, very few combine the two into one application. Convertizo does just that and furthermore, has an incredibly large range of units available including both US and Imperial measurements of volume which many apps miss.
We hope you like the app and find it as useful as we do. If you have any feedback, suggestions for improvement or categories/units you would like to see added, please get in touch.
Over the coming weeks we shall be seeking beta testers for upcoming iPhone applications.
To apply please email firstname.lastname@example.org with your iPhone device model, installed iOS version and age/location details (so we can build a demographic picture of our testers).
At this stage we request no applications from iPad users. We hope to expand into iPad app development later in the year and will post a separate invitation for beta testers when ready.
